Arromanche

I’m slowly working through my archive of photos, with the aim of sharing them here.

This photo was taken in the town of Arromanche-les-Bains, or Arromanche as it’s commonly known. It’s a small town on the Normandie coast and is famous for its role in the D-Day landings and subsequent Allied invasion of Europe.

Dad and I visited on our trip last year, crossing off another item on the bucket list. On the left in the water is the remains of a Mulberry harbour; to this day, many of these concrete relics are still visible in off the beach.

Bec. 2013

I met Bec at a school dance in grade eight.

We’ve kept in contact since then, and last year decided to finally meet up & make some photos.

Not an excuse

Life has been especially busy the last two weeks or so. Photography has taken a back seat but going forward I’ve got more time free. I’m committed to posting more regularly; plus now I’ve got no excuses now the site is using SquareSpace. Feel free to keep me accountable – tim [at] tjdwyer [dot] com.

Anyway, less words, more pictures. Here’s the sunset from Monday week from my iPhone 4S with VSCOCam preset N4.

welcome

After nine years of hosting & coding my own website, learning how to HTML, CSS and others along the way, I’ve finally bitten the bullet and signed up for SquareSpace. This is going to result in a better design than I can make, and give me no excuses for not posting often.

Enjoy!
